MTSU Seeks to Limit the Impact of Funding Cuts

In the Tennessean, BERC director David A. Penn writes: "MTSU recently completed an extensive review of university operations, culminating in a number of recommendations for further efficiencies, streamlining, and consolidations, including energy savings. But increased efficiency cannot hope to fully offset cuts of the magnitude scheduled to occur next year when stimulus funds expire, and a cut of roughly one-third of state-appropriated funds ($34 million) will take effect."
